britt and i took a break from the mania and i stumbled upon Anti-Crossfit. 

britt showed her strength; i showed my weekness....

SUNDAY-- after 2 days of intense crossfit atmosphere and staring pure determination and human endurance for pain directly in the face--  i went to work and played my parts all NONdivisi and as perfect as possible, while sitting up absolutely straight in my chair, core engaged.  YES, lisa's version of crossfit.  (i also went to work --it was snowing and cold-- with just a light gymnastics-team-looking jacket ('..and....representing Romania.....')----YES YES CROSSFIT AS LIFESTYLE (even my weeny violinist lifestyle).  i swear it's contagious.  you watch these ninjas and you feel like doing difficult things and doing them showing no exertion as well....  YES YES HUMAN POTENTIAL.  inspiring.  no more slouching and whining for me.  (how long will this last?  i need to watch crossfit competition like monthly, i think)

Sarah, bassist and beautiful supermodel (she's like ~6'11 or something)... has raised my ill-fitting (on moi) PETITE ann taylor loft dress to heights (haha, i did that by accident!) of cool never reached before for a petite-sized garment.  thank you sarah!  i knew this dress had capacity for greatness. (i think also i can safely say this is the only petite-sized article she has ever owned) HA! the magique of clothes swap!!

knee-length unflattering dress on me = so cute tunic on sarah!!! YAY

thanks also to EMI (my blog idol as you know) for encouraging clothes-swap, which i never did before.  much more gratifying (sorry) than giving to goodwill. 
props also go to EMILY for giving me beautiful CNC shoes and guh-guh-guh-gorgeous silk top (too nice to wear for orchestra)...clothes-swap RULZ!!
btw, sarah is modeling my petite dress (now adult-size tunic) in the SLSO bass room, which is no doubt a glamorous setting, non?  when do u get to see the SLSO bass room, right? recently it's been beautified, GILDED, be-dazzled to grandness by another bassist, associate principal and seamstress (and world-beautifier) carolyn w., who you can see faintly behind sarah)

the guy playing the guitar in the bed is Andrew Essig, the man who today promised me he is going to make me into a GYM STAR. he is dreamy and i will do his bidding. the videos i happened upon don't capture his je-ne-sais-quoi hotness. actually "hot" seems crass in this case; he is super nice-looking. i will try to capture him mid-training so you can see. i may not be able to do a push-up, but he said i rate high on "coachability". i was SO happy. i'm not ashamed to tell you this. (ok, only slightly--i was really happy)
his band with his bro is called "Models Need Sleep".
but seems like he does his own songs.

funny question

like: "Just what kind of creep ARE YOU?" is a funny question.

like there are categories or something. well, i can think of two--(1) "creepy" like scary, those to avoid, and (2)boys that ignore you suddenly and are thus fascinating (or the twilight guy, v. attractive in creepy way)

that particular question is obviously from some tv show that i like (duh), but i always thought it was a funny question.

downsizing is hard, to change the subject. my apt is 920 sq ft. i think my old apt was like twice that. my dog hates it here. my cat loves it here. i will post a pic of the best thing in my apt next time. not to be an ungrateful creep, my place has 10-ft windows in both rooms, laundry in the hallway, and i gotta extra luxe powder room (with linen closet). yeah, this should make me super happy. yet... you know.... :( persists.

i'm looking at the happy thing in my apt. you should see it. it's so perfect. why can't life be perfect? or just a little closer to perfect? and i'm not selfish--i want perfection for everyone and everything. may god perfect you too.

CONFESSION: i saw star trek twice in the last week. i have never seen any other star trek anything. it's all becuz of spock.

wait, but but but that's not true!! i'm not miserable everywhere! if i were with colin firth, i'd be happy anywhere. also, i have been happy in (1) new haven, (2) japan, (3) palo alto, (4) salzburg, ... ok, that's it. but see, i have been happy.
last night, after i helped perpetrate a fraud on the mor--i mean, masses, i honked at slow old people as i tried to escape the parking lot. now that makes me a bad person, undeserving of 'happiness'. yet, i still blame others--i officially call for the dismissal of the main culprits, the major players hastening the demise of classical music: (i am immoral and also a WUSS, so i will only post their initials:) D.H. (big-time felon-crimes against humanity, and music) and A.H. (merely a moron--oblivious, lazy, irresponsible--but still deserves credit). i post this on my blog because someone must speak out about idiots in authority positions. well, shouldn't someone? of course this is, duh, all my opinion, i suppose. yet it feels like absolute truth. someone (not me) should do something.
