gamla stan, briefly

i was overconfident and took the subway to gamla stan (old town) and wandered around sans map.  so then i got lost and had to ask people for directions back to the subway.  one man i asked ("how do you get to the subway?) thought i meant "subway" as in the sandwich shop!  then i said "tunnelbana" and he laffed his ass off and gave me directions, which incidentally led me to the waterfront, but whatever, it was funny.
