the royal cake, people's version
i also stopped at GATEAU while i was in the 'burbs on said walk. they had a cake there (looked like marzipan) that was a mini replica of the huge (i can only imagine) wedding cake they had for the princess earlier this summer. this way, all the people can share in the festivities, at least pastry-wise. i also liked the sign when you walked in-- yes, even you, are a kind of outstanding...cake, please (eddie izzard)
